It’s an honor bestowed upon a select few basketball players across the country each year and a feather in the cap of many of the best players in the NBA over the years, including Trae Young himself, who was selected to the team as a high school senior in 2017.
Ja’Kobe is currently finishing up his senior season at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri where he has helped the Lions post an undefeated 19-0 record thus far. Last season he led McKinney high school in Texas to a state championship.
At the same time, Ja’Kobe has been one of the shining stars of the Team Trae Young program each summer for the last several years, as he climbed the rankings of the best in the country and drew the attention of every college program coast to coast.
He ultimately chose to play for the Baylor Bears at the next level.
We're lovin' it ?

But before he gets there he’ll finish his high school career as one of 24 players participating in the coveted McDonald’s All-American Game on March 28, 2023 at the Toyota Center in Houston.
