After receiving a bid to Rock Hill for the Palmetto Road Adidas 3SSB Boys Championships, the Team Trae Young 17u Boys 3SGB Gold team put together an impressive showing, winning four of their six games.
They opened the week on Tuesday with a 56-55 win over Utah Gold in a showcase game, then won their play-in for the 17U Championship bracket on Wednesday, beating ETG Midwest 77-75.

A loss to Power 5 3SSB on Thursday pushed them into the Places 17-32 Bracket, but they rebounded on Friday to defeat Team Push, 52-50.
So far, we're 3- 1 on the 3SSB circuit. My guys have proved all spring and summer that they can compete with anybody. You don’t hear a lot of people talking about us, but we aren’t worried about it. Next game 1:30 against Washington Warriors 3SSB. 🫡 pic.twitter.com/wm4m0tnh2L

A loss to Washington Warriors on Saturday couldn’t dampen the 17U gold team’s week as they finished strong, beating Brookwood Elite 65-64 in Sunday’s tournament finale.
