The weekend results in Birmingham, Alabama weren’t what the Team Trae Young 17U squad were hoping for, but there were plenty of performances to build on for the young squad in adidas 3SSB Session II.

Carlsheon Young (2025) continued his excellent start to his final grassroots season, averaging 12.6 points per game. He kicked it off on Friday with a 22-point effort in a 68-50 win over Gamepoint.

Jaylen Lawal (2025) added 17 in the win and Jalen Haynes (2024) scored 16 while Jax Kerr had nine points and six rebounds.

Kerr was even better in the second game of the weekend, a 65-55 loss to Team Loaded, where he scored 19 points, grabbed eight boards and had two blocks.

The third game of the weekend saw Lawal go off for 25 points and seven rebounds in a loss to ASAK.

TTY opened Sunday by losing a tight one to Mass Rivals, 54-48, despite 18 points from Lawal and 10 from Haynes.

In the final game of the weekend, Kerr splashed 17 with seven boards, Haynes had 14 and 4, Young had 12 points and Lawal dished out nine assists.
