After leading Baylor to a 23-win season and a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, Team Trae Young alum Ja’Kobe Walter has been recognized as the best of the best among freshmen in the Big 12 Conference.

Ja’Kobe was chosen on March 10th as the Big 12 Freshman of the Year.

He also earned big 12 All-Freshman team honors as well as Third Team All-Big 12. Ja’Kobe was also the preseason Freshman of the Year for the conference, making the 12th player in the history of the Big-12 to sweep Freshman honors.
