Carlsheon Young still has another 3SSB season with Team Trae Young ahead of him this summer, not to mention two more high school seasons to play, but the highly-ranked guard has found his next home and he didn’t feel like waiting to reveal it.
Carlsheon announced his verbal commitment to Oklahoma State University on October 7th, during an official visit to Stillwater to meet with Coach Mike Boynton and staff and tour the campus.

Carlsheon is the top-ranked player from the state of Oklahoma for the Class of 2025 and had a wide-range of offers including from top-ranked Kansas, Cal, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, with many more expected to come this winter and next summer.
But Boynton and his staff made Carlsheon a priority from the moment they offered him in May of 2022, the first scholarship offer he received, and his official visit to campus inspired him to put an early end to his recruitment. He is one of the first recruits from the 2025 class to make a commitment.
