Team Trae Young stayed close to home this past weekend, participating in The Rumble in the Plex in Duncanville, Texas.

The 17U squad split a pair of games, beating Max Levels 67-66 and falling to Team Curry 58-54, improving to 14-3 for the summer while getting standout performances from Doryan Onwuchekwa and Bo Aldridge.

Doryan’s continued offensive improvement caught the eye of Brandon Jenkins of 247 Sports.

At the end of the session, Jenkins wrote that Doryan is “One of the more skilled big men in the national 2024 class” and “showed great confidence and poise when receiving the ball low to mid-post. He has a natural touch from all areas on the floor and shoots an incredibly soft ball for a prospect his size. He is very skilled and placed his inside-out arsenal on display throughout his two-game stretch this weekend,” while ranking him as one of the Top 5 players of the weekend.

Bo checked in just two spots behind Doryan on Jenkins’ list. The 247 Sports analyst wrote that Aldridge boasts a “strong frame, great burst off the bounce, and an exciting handle on the ball. He plays with great confidence on both ends of the floor.”
