In a showcase of the best of the best in high school basketball, Ja’Kobe Walter stood out above the rest.
Ja’Kobe was one of just two dozen boys players selected for the prestigious honor of being a McDonald’s All-American and all weekend he impressed with his skills on the court and his demeanor and makeup off of it. He played 14 minutes in the game itself, scoring 10 points as his team, Team West fell by three to Team East, 109-106. But that didn’t put even the slightest damper on the experience for one of the best in his Class.
Check out some of the highlights from Ja’Kobe’s experience.

Came away very impressed with Baylor signee Ja'Kobe Walter at McDonald's All-American practice. Flashed great traits defensively and was able to score inside well. Love this pickup for Scott Drew. #SicEm pic.twitter.com/b3EHk3PlKW

In a setting you often don't know what you will get, this batch of McDonald's All-Americans brought great energy and competitive to their first open practice.
