After a summer spent cleaning the glass and exhibiting top tier effort on both ends of the floor for Team Trae Young, Jadyn Toppin earned an offer he couldn’t refuse.

On Monday, Jadyn announced his decision to commit to the University of New Mexico and Coach Richard Pitino.

“Get ready! I am coming hard. I am proud to be apart of the Lobo Family,” he said in an interview with Alex Karamanos of The Circuit Scouting. I am just excited about being committed and playing ball. I love the game…I am excited for my future as a college athlete. I am ready to give it my all.”

experiencing the atmosphere around UNM Athletics cinched the decision for Jadyn.

“The Pit is unbelievable. The players are amazing guys who work hard and are dedicated,” he told 247 Sports. “I had never seen anything like it before. It was amazing. The weather was great. The players make sure they are doing well on and off the court.”

The standout big man was also impressed with how prepared Pitino and other Lobos coaches were for him, how they utilize their big men, and what he believes they can do to help him grow as a player.

“I really like their style of coaching. I can see myself growing as an athlete and becoming a dynamic part of the team,” he said. “They did an excellent job at showing me my strengths and how I could fit in with the team right now. They also showed me the plan they have in place for me to reach my full potential.”
