A remarkable season for the Team Trae Young Girls came to a close in California over the weekend, and the 17U squad made it one more memorable run to the finish.
The 17U Girls one their first four games at the adidas 3SSB Circuit Championship, advancing to the championship game, where they ultimately lost by just five points.
?? I told these girls back in March that they were a SPECIAL GROUP! They proved me right all season! To finish as Runner Up in the @Adidas3SSB Circuit to a super talented @TeamLexNation is a MAJOR accomplishment!! Heads up and be proud!! Love you all!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ pic.twitter.com/CJ8MacUttN

The tournament began with back-to-back wins on Thursday over Central FL Elite (44-42) and NWBA (64-56). The tests were even tougher on Day 2 Friday, as TTY picked up a pair of one-point wins, first over Mass Rivals (58-57), and then over SA Finest (60-59).

The timing on the 4-High Set by @TeamTraeYoungWB is superb! They get to their spots quick, start out in a misdirection, the entry to elbow that wing cuts back door on air time. The execution, the accurate and on time pass is purely outstanding! You love to see it.#gemsinthegym

Unfortunately, the dream of a championship to end the season would end there, in a 51-46 defeat. However, it was another banner year for the team and for the members from the Class of 2023, an incredible way to wrap their AAU journeys.
I want to thank the ENTIRE @TeamTraeYoungWB and @CoachFParks for an Amazing Last AAU Season!❤️? pic.twitter.com/ag81L5tIWF
