The last full month before the start of the 2021-22 high school basketball season has been a busy one for Team Trae Young’s boys and girls.

In early October, Class of 2023 guard Ja’Kobe Walter got an in-house visit from Memphis basketball head coach and NBA legend Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway.

Ja’Kobe also received MVP honors for his performance at the Dallas Fall GASO Classic back in September.

Walter also ranked 16th in the latest 247 sports rankings of the Class of 2023.

On the girls side, Class of 2023 standout Elle Papahronis recently took unofficial visits to The University of San Francisco and Stephen F. Austin State University.

Class of 2023 and TTY Boys 16U forward Christian Sanson was a standout at the MadeHoops Southeast Preview Camp.

Meanwhile, up and coming Class of 2024 combo guard Ja’Mon Valentine got a practice visit from University of Tulsa assistant coach Kwanza Johnson.

Also visiting practice was Gonzaga assistant Stephen Gentry, who made the trip to check out Ja’Kobe Walter before a recent McKinney High practice.

Finally, Class of 2026 guard Skylar Anderson is drawing rave reviews and getting the early attention of scouts across the nation.
