Invitations to the Wootten 150 Basketball Camp were an honor for Ja’Kobe Walter and Lee Dort, placing the Team Trae Young standouts among the top players in their respective classes. The show put on by each player during the two-day camp was icing on the cake.
It was the second such honor for Lee Dort, whose performance at the Wootten camp last year led to his commitment to Vanderbilt. This year, it was Ja’Kobe’s turn to leave scouts’ jaws on the floor. The Class of 2023 star put on a show and set up an incredible next few months for the high school junior.

Ja’Kobe Walter was a low-maintenance producer today at Wootten’s Top 150 Camp. He scored without many dribbles by cutting frequently and staying ready off the ball for perimeter shots. Had some nice moments defensively as well.@JaKobeWalter1 @MHSLionsHoops @teamtraeyoungmb pic.twitter.com/2Eujd6DGww

ESPN’s Paul Biancardi was on the scene at the Wootten Camp in Mansfield, Texas and selected Ja’Kobe as one of the 10 prospects who stood out the most during the two-day camp.
My top 10 from an absolutely loaded @Wootten_Camp @McDAAG.

“The more Walker develops, the more complete he becomes,” Biancardi wrote. “His jumper is soft and accurate, whether he’s wide open or if opponents contest them.

Not to be outdone, Lee Dort once again flashed in the eyes of 247 Sports’ Brandon Jenkins:
“Our staff has seen Lee Dort bring energy and effort around the basket at last year’s Wootten Camp. This year it was no different as the Vanderbilt commit posed himself as an unmatchable force inside the paint.”
